Triple Time!

8 posts in this topic

After saving a crapload of money and deciding on what would best suit my needs, I have FINALLY purchased the standalone stand, monitors, cables, and other necessary equipment to make my first foray into a triple screen computer setup. Am I excited? Beyond belief. The best feeling though is undoubtedly the satisfaction of knowing that I worked my tail off to get something that I had been thinking about for a long time.

What I got to make this happen were the following:

Obutto's standalone stand was something I figured would make my life easier as far as adjusting the screens to my needs, while the R3volution Triple Monitor Mount was mentioned as compatible with it so I got both.

3 DisplayPort cables capable of 144 hz and 4K (although I 'only' plan on using 1080P at 144hz for each screen)

Asus' VG248QE was the monitor I wanted - the DisplayPorts are perfect for my Titan X, it has the 100x100 VESA pattern that fits the triple mount, and is capable of 144 hz while maintaining a great 1080p image.

Lastly, as a bit of a bonus for myself, I got this for flight sims:

the glossy bezel is a finger-print magnet – and be careful when taking off the protective plastic wrapping as it’s a static shock hazard.

Nice. You'll like the Obutto. The seat takes a few weeks to break in. You've got the newer model and it has some improvements over the original that I have.

Thanks, I've had my Obutto actually for a few years now and it has been nothing short of fantastic thumbsup . I found it to be the perfect base as well for my triple screen solution which is why I went all out with the stand just to make the experience that much better.
